I found your website with some information on Niels Christian Clausson. He is an ancestor of mine. He was born in Kristiania, Norway March 28, 1724 and died June 23, 1794 in Kristiania. Niels Christian was a graduate in theology. He married Martha Stub in Risor, Aust-Agder, Norway June 28, 1757. They had one son Clause Clausson born May 1, 1760 in Øster Moland, Norway and died September 6, 1842 in Smidstrup, Denmark

Thanks for sending your files. One of my sources had Martha Stubb's death in 1760 - the same year that Clause was born. It looked like she had died in childbirth. Then I found the family in the 1787 census but without Clause. He would have been 17 and may have been living away from home:
